Foxconn invests 250 million USD in Quang Ninh province

(VOVWORLD) -Chinese Taipei's electronics maker and assembler, Foxconn, has received approval from Vietnam to invest 246 million USD in two new projects in Song Khoai Industrial Park in the northern province of Quang Ninh.

The first project, the FECV Foxconn Quang Ninh factory will cover a total area of 6.3 hectares, featuring a total registered investment capital of more than 200 million USD for manufacturing and assembling electronics components, electric chargers, and electric charge controllers for electric vehicles (EVs). The project is expected to be completed within 18 months and will go into operation in January, 2025, generating jobs for more than 1,100 workers. 

The second project, Foxconn Quang Ninh FMMV factory boasts a total investment of nearly 46 million USD for manufacturing and outsourcing components, molds, and components for information technology and communication products. The project is expected to get into operation in October, 2024, and employ over 700 personnel.
