France, Japan agree to scrutinize terror financing

(VOVworld) - France and Japan have agreed the need to establish better mechanisms to scrutinize money flows to terrorists, French Finance Minister Michel Sapin said on Monday after holding talks with Japanese Finance Minister Taro Aso and Economic and Financial Policy Minister Akira Amari.

Sapin said he saw the need for decent regulations, rather than additional spending, to keep track of the flow of money to terrorists, calling on the international community to share any information on suspicious movements.He said such a tragedy could happen anywhere in the world and international cooperation to prevent its recurrence was necessary.
