(VOVworld) – The French Defense Ministry said Monday that members of the US-led coalition fighting the Islamic State will meet in Paris on October 25.

Defense ministers of 13 countries will discuss the offensive against the IS’s Iraqi stronghold Mosul, following the launch on October 17 of a campaign to free Mosul. The defense ministers will consider the current situation in Mosul and decide the next steps in the fight to prevent withdrawing IS fighters from reaching Raqqa, the IS stronghold in Syria.
