France urges EU to improve Syrian passport checks - ảnh 1
French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve
(VOVworld) – On Monday, France called on the European Union to do more to detect false Syrian passports, especially in Greece and Italy, after two of the suicide bombers in the Paris attacks were found to be carrying such documents. French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said increased border control was necessary after the Paris attacks revealed how extremists are exploiting the migrant crisis in Europe, with some terrorists trying to get into European countries and commit criminal acts by mixing in with the flow of migrants and refugees. He stressed that the cursory checking of travel documents presented by refugees at the external borders of the EU are an extremely significant and worrying issue.
