(VOVworld) - A French scientist has highlighted the severe effects that Agent Orange/dioxin has on human health, including birth defects. Jacque Maitre, former Director of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) released his research at a recent workshop in France called “From hunting in tropical forests to a globalized market economy: ethnic minority people living in A Luoi”. According to the study, many people don’t know about herbicides, which the US army used in  Vietnam to destroy forests. The French scientist also gave a presentation to audience of the living conditions and lifestyles of ethnic minority groups in the A Luoi valley in central Vietnam.
