The Olympic Council of Asia is organizing a series of Fun Runs around the continent to promote the Games to be held in Indonesia in August. Sidelines events like a quiz about ASIAD, wrestling and karate performances, and tug of war were also held to raise local awareness about ASIAD and stimulate the sport spirit among residents. More than 200 Vietnamese athletes will take part in ASIAD, according to the National Sports Administration. They aim to bring home from three to five gold medals in key sports, such as athletics, swimming, weightlifting, shooting and gymnastics.
