Funding for bomb and mine clearance approved

(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved a national action program to overcome the post-war aftermaths of bombs and mines until 2015. The plan aims to mobilize and utilize all resources inside and outside Vietnam to sustainably overcome bomb and mine consequences and ensure safety for living and production. The 670 million USD plan will help victims of explosives integrate into the community, especially in seriously contaminated areas and explosion spots, raise public awareness to avoid accidents, and conduct detection and clearance activities on 500,000 hectares of land.
