G20 Summit opens in Osaka

(VOVWORLD) - The G20 Summit opened in Osaka, Japan, Friday, attended by leaders of the G20 and eight guest countries including Vietnam. 

Participants will discuss global economic, trade, and investment issues, and the digital economy. They are scheduled to approve the formation of Osaka Track, a framework for multilateral discussions towards the building of regulations on data management in the digital economy. Other topics include strengthening the role of women, sustainable development, climate change, the environment, and energy.

The Summit will wrap up on Saturday afternoon with the adoption of a joint statement.
