The 3-day session will discuss a series of international relations issues, with focus on relations with Russia and China, UK Foreign Minister Dominic Raab told reporters before the meeting.

He said the G7’s relationship with Russia and China has recently been worse due to conflicts in handling the Russia-Ukraine border tension, Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, China’s dealing with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, and issues relating to Hong Kong and Xinjiang.

The London meeting has been the first in-person meeting of the G7 foreign chiefs in 2 years.
