Every year the management board organizes rituals to pay tribute to 64 soldiers who laid down their lives in the March 14, 1988 naval battle to protect Gac Ma Island of Vietnam's Spratly archipelago.

The management board has worked with 22 travel agencies and hotels to organize tours for revolutionary contributors to pay respect to 64 martyrs.

Director of the Gac Ma Memorial Complex, Vo Duy Truc, said, “The Gac Ma memorial complex has received delegations of various organizations nationwide. Schools, Youth Unions, and agencies have come here to organize meetings and admission ceremonies for youth union members and party members. It’s a historical site to teach revolutionary tradition to the young generations.”
