Dozens of vessels have returned to the central city of Da Nang from their Paracel and Spratly fishing grounds with boatloads of seafood including tuna and cutlass fish. In just 4 days of fishing, Nguyen Dinh Chau of Son Tra district caught 8 tons of seafood and made 12,000 USD in profit. 

“We are enjoying a bumper tuna catch. We’ll sail again soon to take full advantage of favorable weather,” said Chau. 

According to Da Nang authorities, the Tho Quang harbor receives 60 vessels a day, each carrying up with up to 5 tons of seafood. Prices this year are 15% higher than average.
