Global COVID-19 cases exceed 71 million
(VOVWORLD) - According to worldometers.info, as of Saturday morning, confirmed COVID-19 infection cases worldwide exceeded 71 million, with over 1.6 million fatalities.
The US remains the world epicenter with more than 302,000 deaths among almost 16.3 million COVID-19 infections. It is followed by India and Brazil.
The pandemic remains complicated in Europe with nearly 19.5 confirmed cases and 450,000 fatalities. There are nearly 18,900 COVID-19 infection cases and more than 309,000 fatalities in Asia.
