(VOVworld) – The 11^th Glorious Vietnam program will be held on May 23 in Hanoi to honor 28 organizations and individuals with excellent achievements in production.

Speaking at a press conference in Hanoi on Thursday, representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor said the program honors people who dare to think and apply innovations in socio-economic activities and national defense. Their activities have contributed significantly to economic development, social security, and national defense. The program will acknowledge the marine police, marine surveillance forces, and fishermen for bravely protecting national waters and demanding that China withdraw oil rig Haiyang 981 from Vietnam’s exclusive economic zone and continental shelf.
