The search volume for this phrase in 2022 was the highest in five years, during the International Women’s Week from March 6-13.

Google saw dramatic increases in searches related to women in Vietnam in education, career, beauty, and investment. Vietnamese internet users showed increasing interest in gender roles and definitions in society.

Vietnam is among top five countries with the largest search volume on ‘discrimination against women’ in the first quarter of 2023. Searches for “gender discrimination” and “gender role” increased 340% and 280%, respectively in Vietnam during the 2022 International Women’s Week compared to 2021.
