Government monthly meeting for April

(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung acknowledged positive results in almost all areas at the government monthly meeting for April which opened in Hanoi on Tuesday. The macro-economy and interest exchange rate remained stable, inflation was kept at below 6%, and foreign reserves and exports had increased. Prime Minister Dung asked the government and localities to increase economic demand to ensure the pace of growth through the disbursement of funding, particularly in land clearance for key transport projects. He requested the State Bank of Vietnam to review disbursement procedures to help businesses access credit loans and settle bad debts: “Growth and employment depend on demand. It is important now to boost the disbursement of investment for capital construction and improve the quality of credit.”

The government leader also asked the ministries and localities to continue to improve the business and investment environment and boost administrative reform and the real estate and housing market. He also called for security and order to be ensured during the coming holiday and for further measures to stamp out measles.
