Government prioritizes legislation

(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung chaired a government meeting on legislation over the last 2 days. Cabinet members discussed the government’s legislative program and the issuance of documents guiding law enforcement in the first half of the year and plans for the remaining months. Prime Minister Dung asked cabinet members to focus all available resources to quickly formulate and issue documents guiding law enforcement:  “Ministers should focus more resources on legislation apart from managerial work. Pending laws, decrees, and circulars should all be completed and submitted by September 15. It is necessary to increase coordination between ministries. The Prime Minister and the government are ready to work with ministries on sensitive circulars, decrees, and institutions.”

Cabinet members also debated the draft law on religion and belief, the draf law on informaiton access, the revised law on import-export taxes, the law on the issuance of administrative decisions, the revised law on the signing, accession to and implementation of international treaties, and the draft law on property auctions. They also discussed the implementation of the Enterprise Law and the 2014 Investment Law as well as major directions for the formulation of the law on associations.
