Party leader and President Nguyen Phu Trong reviewed the life and career of Uncle Ho, a shining symbol of patriotism, communist ideology, revolutionary morality, and broad knowledge, and a great inspiration for generations of Vietnamese people.

Mr. Trong said Ho Chi Minh's ideology and his extremely productive revolutionary career were invaluable contributions to the Vietnamese nation’s ideological foundation, guidelines for the Vietnamese revolution, and an inspiration for the revolutionary causes of other oppressed nations around the world.

“To actualize President Ho Chi Minh’s teaching, we must continue to enhance Party building and rectification to ensure a strong and pure Party and political system in terms of politics, ideology, organization, and morality," he said.

"We must improve the Party’s leadership and fighting spirit, build a law-governed socialist state of the people, by the people, and for the people. We must uphold the tradition of a united Party and people, rely on people to build the Party, promote democracy and the people’s right to mastery, maintain solidarity within the Party, and be worthy of the mission of leading the revolution and fulfilling the people’s aspirations,” noted Mr. Trong.

Earlier, a delegation of the Party, State, National Assembly, Government, and Fatherland Front paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi.
