National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung made the statement on Wednesday while attending a Great National Unity Day of local residents living in Hanoi’s Tran Hung Dao ward to mark the 83rd anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Mr. Hung underscored the importance of consolidating national unity in every residential area and encouraged each family and resident in Tran Hung Dao ward to build up unity, striving to win the title “Cultural Family” and build a strong, prosperous and beautiful capital city. Chairman Hung said:
“We hope that residents in the ward and all around the country will continue to implement programs to follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example, to mobilize the entire society to be united to develop a civilized cultural life in residential areas, and to act for the poor. All households and residents in the ward should join forces and use their brainpower to promote unity and make the city more prosperous.”
On this occasion, Chairman Hung presented gifts to local disadvantaged households, individuals, and organizations for their outstanding achievements in a movement to unite the people to build a cultural life in residential areas.
