(VOVworld) – Greece vowed on Saturday to dissolve migrant build-up on the Macedonian border within a week.

Dimitris Vitsas, the Greek minister in charge of coordinating the refugee flow, said Greek authorities will try to convince people to move to other reception centers across Greece. By the end of next week, there will be "50,000 spots" available in Greece to shelter 12,000 stranded migrants. He expressed his hope that the situation at Idomeni,  the biggest refugee camp along the Greece-Macedonia border, is resolved within a week without recourse to force.
