Hai Duong province to lift social distancing on April 1

(VOVWORLD) - The northern province of Hai Duong, the epicenter of the third wave of COVID-19 in Vietnam, will end social distancing on Thursday.

The province has been free from local transmissions for 20 days and lockdowns in some affected areas have been lifted.  

"We will begin a new normal on April 1 but will maintain all prevention measures including the operation of anti-pandemic teams,” said Pham Xuan Thang, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee.

Only 105 of 726 COVID-19 cases reported in Hai Duong so far are currently under treatment. No deaths have been reported.
