(VOVworld) – The National Steering Committee for New Rural Development convened on Tuesday. Committee President Deputy Prime Minister Vu Van Ninh asked the ministries of Planning and Investment, Finance, and Agriculture and Rural Development to review and make adjustments to the program.

He said that the focus of next year will be on poor communes in border and island areas. He also called for greater efforts to achieve the target for half of all communes nationwide fulfilling all new rural development criteria by 2021.
