Hanoi art program celebrates August Revolution and National Day
(VOVWORLD) -Hanoi city celebrated the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on Friday evening with a special art program called "Hanoi - From the historic autumn of 1945".

In his address to the program attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the municipal People's Committee Tran Sy Thanh said that Hanoi today is not only the political and administrative center and the heart of the country but also a major center of economy, culture, education and training, science and technology, and international integration. That’s a vivid proof of the strong will, determination and aspiration to rise of the capital city, he said.

“The special art program is held at the August Revolution Square, where momentous historical events were recorded, honoring patriotism, revolutionary spirit, and national pride. This not only reminds us of the glorious history of the Vietnamese people from the brilliant August autumn of 1945 but also spreads a strong message about the will to be self-reliant and the aspiration to rise up of the whole nation,” Mr. Thanh said.

Sound, light and image effects of performances treated the audience to a Hanoi with thousands of years of culture and its outstanding achievements after nearly 40 years of renewal.
The highlight was three 3D mapping and artistic fireworks displays, combining music, light, and technology, taking viewers on a “journey of light through time”, from the glorious historical milestones, through the brilliant cultural space of Thang Long-Hanoi, to the image of the creative, modern capital in the new era.
