Hanoi celebrates Lunar New Year 2017

(VOVworld) – The Thang Long-Ha Noi Heritage Conservation Center is hosting a series of events to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Rooster or Tet at Hanoi’s Royal Citadel.

In addition to the permanent exhibition, there is a display of folk paintings of Vietnam’s 3 prominent forms: Hang Trong, Kim Hoang, and Dong Ho. A collection of royal costumes by Trinh Bach and Trinh Family Foundation will be unveiled. An exhibition of 100 photos of heritage is also open to visitors.

The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology has launched a wide range of programs to the celebrate Tet. Artisans from other provinces will be involved in writing parallel sentences, building bamboo poles (cay neu), playing tug of war and printing Dong Ho wood blocks.
