(VOV/VOVworld)- The Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs has launched a five year national program on gender equality to increase social awareness and behavior in the field.

Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs Nguyen Thanh Hoa addressed the launching event in Hanoi on Tuesday: "Each locality has its own customs and traditions. Therefore, it’s necessary to set up suitable program for each different area, especially in mountainous areas, based on the program’s  instructions and guidelines."
The program will comprise of five projects, awareness raising for behavior change, capacity building for state management, and female National Assembly deputies, support for areas with high levels of gender inequality, and counseling services.
