Hanoi lifts lockdown on Ha Loi village

(VOVWORLD) - Ha Loi village on the outskirts of Hanoi, a COVID-19 hotspot, had its 28-day lockdown lifted on Wednesday. Of the total 13 COVID-19 cases detected in Ha Loi, 3 cases have fully recovered.

Ta Quang Thai, Chairman of Me Linh district’s People’s Committee said: “Even after the restrictions are eased, we encourage locals to refrain from going out and avoid large gatherings to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.”

Mr.Thai said he proposed to downgrade Me Linh to low-risk locality so that locals can resume their normal life.  

By Wednesday morning Vietnam reported no new COVID-19 infections in the community for 20 straight days. So far, a total of 232 patients have been released from hospital. The remaining 39 cases are receiving treatment at central and provincial-level healthcare establishments.
