Hanoi receives donations, medical equipment to fight COVID-19

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi on Saturday (October 16) received donation in cash and in kind worth over 3.8 million USD to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Of this contribution, the Hanoi’s health sector donated 58 million USD to buy vaccines while Truong Hai Automobile Joint Stock Company (THACO) donated 300,000 test kits, 30 ambulances and 30 mobile vaccination vehicles at a total value of 3.6 million USD.

Speaking at a ceremony to receive the donations, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi, Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong, emphasized that the assistance of agencies, organizations, businesses and donors is extremely valuable in the fight against COVID-19, contributing to lifting the municipal healthcare capacity. She also expressed her belief with concerted efforts of the people and all sectors, Hanoi will keep the virus at bay and life will return to normal.
