Returning to normal will be done gradually and cautiously to protect people's health while restoring socio-economic development, said Mr. Dung, who is also head of Hanoi's National Assembly delegation, on Thursday ahead of the year-end National Assembly session. Emphasizing the importance of accelerating economic recovery and development, Mr. Dung said Hanoi will hold dialogues with businesses to remove their difficulties.
“We should fully understand the tough circumstances faced by businesses and individuals in order to build scenarios for socio-economic development. The scenarios should safely and flexibly adapt to and control the COVID-19 epidemic so that we can soon get back to normal,” Mr. Dung said.
The number of COVID-19 infections in Hanoi has decreased 48% over the past 2 weeks. The city has administered more than 8 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine. 98% of Hanoi residents over 18 have received at least one dose.
