“Hanoi winter” project gives opportunity for female Vietnamese film producers
(VOVWORLD) - “Hanoi Winter 2021 – In Cinema We Trust” is a residency and training program for Vietnamese filmmakers who are developing film projects. Organized every 5 years, the program aims to build a network of promising Vietnamese filmmakers to develop scripts and bring new film projects to cinemas.

This year, 30 young filmmakers and 16 projects have been selected. They will be mentored throughout script development, production planning, pitching, project introduction, and finding production opportunities.
In addition to film development, the program also focuses on women, gender issues, and gender equality, as well as expanding opportunities for Vietnamese female filmmakers. “Hanoi Winter 2021” welcomes all feature-length or short film projects aimed at breaking gender stereotypes and changing gender stereotypes in cinema.
This year the program has collaborated with talent camps of the Berlin and Rotterdam Film Festivals.
