Growth was recorded across services, industry and construction, agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. These positive results reflect Hanoi’s great effort implementing and managing socio-economic policies amid a volatile global economy, low market demand, and sluggish industrial production.

Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Nguyen Van Phong, said: "In the first 9 months, Hanoi grew 7.92%, with a budget revenue of about 20 billion USD, 103% of the annual target and a 40% increase year on year. Hanoi is on track to exceed 8% GDP growth this year. The city’s average growth rate was 6.57% for the 2020-2025 period, 1.1% higher than the national average."

From Janury to September, Hanoi drew 3.9 billion USD in foreign direct investment (FDI), 2.9 times the FDI in the same period last year. This reaffirms Hanoi as a safe, attractive destination for international investors.

Trade turnover totaled 50 billion USD, up 13.7%, and remained one of Hanoi’s key economic pillars and contributors to its macroeconomic stability. The city welcomed 5.5 million tourists, up 22% year on year.

Industrial production maintained a positive trajectory, with a 6.7% boost to Q3’s Industrial Production Index (IIP), according to the Hanoi Statistics Office.
