During the first week of the Year of the Dragon, Tan Cang-Cat Lai Port saw a cargo throughput of over 1 million tonnes, a 9% increase compared to the same period last year.

On Thursday alone, the port handled 190 export shipments worth over 9.5 million USD, mainly farm produce, wood products, and seafood.

"We are preparing to export more to our traditional markets of South Korea and the United States. In 2023, we secured export contracts for this year," said Nguyen Ngoc Luan, CEO of the Meet More Coffee company which shipped 2 containers of processed coffee to Australia.
