Speaking at the event, Singaporean Consul General to Ho Chi Minh City Leow Siu Lin, said as rotating Chair of ASEAN, Singapore focuses on the themes of “Resilience” and “Innovation” to shape a united ASEAN which is able to effectively address geo-political instabilities, and brace for opportunities and challenges in the digital revolution: “The ASCN has finalized a pioneer batch of 26 pilot cities in its inaugural year which includes Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Da Nang. Over the time, the ASCN which has collaborated that form for cities to work toward the common goal of smart city and sustainable urban development aim to improve the urban living environment and enhance business opportunities for ASEAN’s 630 million people.”

During the occasion, representatives from the ASEAN countries’ Consulate Generals in Ho Chi Minh City presented 30 scholarships to local underprivileged students with outstanding academic performance.
