(VOV) – Ho Chi Minh city’s Youth Union and Students’ Association on Saturday held a ceremony to mark the 63^rd Students’ Day on January 9^th. The atmosphere of fighting and demonstration in Saigon, the former name of Ho Chi Minh city, students’ movement for national salvation against the US and sacrifices of hero-student Tran Van On was re-created through a lively performance of 1,000 local students. Organizers honored 94 excellent students in 2012 and presented 28 scholarships to Students’ Associations’ members. Dao Vinh Loc has been awarded for 2 consecutive times. “The award recognizes students who excelled in 5 areas. This is my permanent goals. Students should pay more attention to physical training, learning skills and participating in social activities.” , Loc said.
