(VOVworld) - The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Council opened its 16th working session on Tuesday with a focus on reviewing this year’s socio-economic development and outlining measures to reach the goals of next year’s plan.

Participants are scheduled to discuss the outcomes of handling voters’ complaints and recommendations and supervisory activities in 2014. Vote of confidence will also be held for 18 positions elected by the council and a chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan and two departments’ directors will be questioned at a Q&A session.
The same day, the People’s Councils of Quang Ninh province and Da Nang City organized similar working sessions to review the 2014 local socio-economic development, security, and defense, and set orientations for next year.
