At a meeting with deputy chairman of the HCM City People's Committee Hua Ngoc Thuan, Judy Heumann said Vietnam’s approval of a resolution ratifying the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities demonstrates a strong commitment to guaranteeing human rights, especially the rights of persons with disabilities. Mr Thuan said that HCM city has paid close attention to implementing social welfare policies in which the care of disabled people is a top priority.
