HCM City to celebrate 50th anniversary of national reunification with military parade, public march
(VOVWORLD) - Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday discussed preparations for the 50th anniversary of national reunification in 2025, with a focus on honoring the past, commemorating sacrifices, and shaping a prosperous future.

Nguyen Van Nen, Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee, said a military parade and public march are expected to attract 13,000 participants.
Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, said the parade and march will take place on April 30 morning on Le Duan street in District 1.
Nguyen Trong Nghia, head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communication and Education, said 2025 will mark many significant historical milestones for Vietnam, which symbolize Vietnam’s aspirations for peace, independence, freedom, and unity, reflecting Vietnam’s progress towards socialism and its new era of rise.
