(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Saturday received Francisco Gomes Neto, Embraer Group's President and CEO, who is accompanying Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on his state visit to Vietnam.

Embraer, a state-owned aerospace giant in which the Brazilian Government holds a 51% stake, is among the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Chinh emphasized Vietnam’s growing economy and increasing aviation demands, noting the sector’s potential to open new frontiers, including space exploration. Therefore, the Prime Minister called on Embraer cooperate with Vietnamese partners in manufacturing aviation equipment, transferring technology, training the workforce, and providing technical support.
He also suggested supplying aircraft at preferential rates, setting up maintenance and service centers, developing sustainable aviation fuels, and implementing emission-reduction initiatives to facilitate the industry’s green transition.
The Prime Minister reiterated the Vietnamese Government’s commitment to providing a transparent, healthy, and efficient investment environment.
For his part, Neto said Embraer values the opportunity to work with Vietnam, wishes to introduce modern aircraft lines, and cooperate in aviation services.
