HCM city welcomes 500 MICE visitors from India

(VOVWORLD) - Nearly 500 MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) tourists from India are visiting Ho Chi Minh City until Tuesday to explore the southern Vietnamese metropolis.

During their stay in the city, the visitors from the HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company will visit popular tourist attractions, including the War Remnants Museum, the Saigon Central Post Office, Ben Thanh Market, and Cu Chi Tunnels, as well as enjoy Vietnamese and Indian food.

Suhash Chandar, general manager of Asia Destination Management JSC (Asia DMC), said Vietnam is one of the most favorite destinations among Indian and Chinese visitors.

HCM city has received 2.3 million international tourists  since the beginning of this year, twice the figure recorded in the same period last year, according to the municipal Department of Tourism.

This year, the city targets to welcome 5 million international arrivals and 35 million domestic visitors, earning 6 billion USD.
