Health Insurance Law amended to ensure people's medical examination and treatment rights
(VOVWORLD) -The Health Insurance Law is humane and that amending the law needs to ensure people's medical examination and treatment rights, especially in difficult areas, said National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

At the National Assembly Standing Committee’s meeting on Wednesday, Chairman Man said that thanks to the efforts of the entire political system and the care of the Party and State, 93% of the population are now covered by health insurance, approaching universal health insurance.
As this is the second law amendment, Mr. Man asked the Drafting Committee needs to focus on consistency with the recently passed Law on Medical Examination and Treatment, and study thoroughly its feasibility with unity of opinions. What is beneficial to the people must be done, he added.
Earlier on Wednesday, the National Assembly deputies discussed the Law on Teachers, which Chairman Man stressed the need to promulgate, but he requested careful evaluation of its impact on teachers.
