(VOVWORLD) -Ho Chi Minh city’s Book Street has attracted 2.5 million visitors since its opening in early 2016, according to the municipal Department of Information and Communications.

The Department said that over the past 2 years, nearly 800,000 books were sold in the area, earning nearly 3 million USD. Last year, the Book Street hosted 28 activities to mark major celebrations, 31 exhibitions, and 260 book release events.
