Doctor Duong Trong Nghia, Head of the Working Team No.2 of the National Hospital of Traditional Medicine in Hanoi, was assigned to support Field Hospital No.4 in Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City in late August. It was a critical time as the number of COVID-19 infections and deaths increased every day there.

Doctor Nghia said that despite various challenges, he and his colleagues worked with a high sense of responsibility and dedication to saving people’s lives. “Seeing patients recovering  and being discharged from the hospital is very comforting. At Field Hospital No.4 there are many child patients. We organized a joyful Mid-Autumn Festival for hospitalized children. It is an impressive and unforgettable Mid-Autumn Festival in my life,”he said.

Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen said the 4th session of the Party Central Committee, which concluded on Thursday, touched upon many important issues, including the COVID-19 fight and economic recovery in the new normal. The pandemic has not been contained so Ho Chi Minh City will continue to strengthen its medical system at all levels to protect people’s health and prepare for any circumstance, he said.
