Ho Chi Minh City to host Ao Dai Festival in March
(VOVWORLD) - The 5th Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress) Festival will take place from March 3 to March 25 at multiple venues in Ho Chi Minh City, including Nguyen Hue Walking Street, Thuan Kieu Square, Thong Nhat Hall, the Youth Cultural House, the Ao Dai Museum, and the Museum of Southern Women.

Themed “Charming Ho Chi Minh City’s Ao Dai”, the festival will include a fashion contest, a flashmob performance by 3,000 dancers, a talk show, and a forum on Ao Dai in the lives of HCMC women.
At a press conference on Wednesday to announce the event, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Tran Vinh Tuyen said: “We call on everyone who loves the Vietnamese Ao Dai to participate in the event by performing or designing to make the traditional dress more charming and beautiful.”
