Ho Chi Minh City’s festival promotes summer tours
(VOVWORLD) - Sales promotions involving 70,000 inbound and outbound tour packages and air tickets are being offered at the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival that opened on Thursday.

Bui Ta Hoang Vu, Director of the municipal Department of Tourism, said the festival, themed “Happy Summer 2019”, is an annual event to promote summer travel. It offers holidaymakers new tourism products and promotions.
Ho Chi Minh City resident Nguyen Van Ninh said: “A large number of Vietnamese have been drawn to live in Ho Chi Minh city, making it a lucrative tourism market. The municipal tourism sector provides quality products and services but should create more incentives for locals to travel around Vietnam and to nearby countries.”
Other festival activities will include a forum on Vietnam’s tourism human resources, a ceremony to honor 100 top tourism brands and, an exchange program for high-tech tourism applications.
