(VOVWORLD) -The third Hoi An International Food Festival began on Tuesday at An Hoi Sculpture Garden, Hoi An city, drawing 12 renowned international chefs.

The chefs are from Germany, Sweden, Russia, Portugal, Greece, US, Malaysia, India, and Vietnam. The only representative of Vietnam is Mrs. Trinh Diem My, who is called the soul of Hoi An cuisine for 20 years.
During the festival week, the chefs will shop for ingredients at the Hoi An market, prepare traditional dishes of their country, visit vegetable villages, and take part in a food forum with other world food experts. Festival-goers can sample food from 12 different countries at 12 stalls. Every night one of the chefs will introduce a typical dish at the festival’s "Big Dish" area.
