The news was announced at the award ceremony held on Saturday at the Ocean City urban area in the northern province of Hung Yen as part of the Oriental Light Festival.

Hon Thieng Dat Viet was inspired by the distinctive cultural characteristics of Hoi An town in Quang Nam province, featuring details such as the ancient town, Chua Cau (Japanese Covered Bridge), and floating lanterns.

This large-scale project was displayed along a 70-meter-long, 20-meter-wide path and has been recognized as the largest lantern installation in Vietnam. The work was arranged so skillfully that when viewed from above, it looks like the shape of a carp gazing at the moon.

The artwork also demonstrated the high creativity of Vietnamese artisans by using coconut tree bark, an environmentally friendly material.

The second prize went to 'The God of Fortune' of South Korea, while the third prizes were awarded to Vietnam’s 'Sac Mau Cuoc Song' (The Colors of Life) and 'Long Phuong Sum Vay' (Dragon and Phoenix Gathering).
