Top legislator concludes trips to Armenia, Uzbekistan, IPU-150

(VOVWORLD) - National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, his spouse, and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived in Hanoi on Wednesday morning, concluding their trip to Armenia and Uzbekistan.

From April 2 to April 8, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the Vietnamese delegation participated in the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-150) and conducted official visits to the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Armenia.

On Tuesday evening, Chairman Tran Thanh Man held a meeting with officials and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia cum Uzbekistan, and members of the Vietnamese community in Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the National Assembly Chairman reiterated Vietnam's consistent policy of paying attention to and considering overseas Vietnamese an integral part of the nation and a vital bridge in fostering friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and other countries.

Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his hope that the Vietnamese community in Uzbekistan would continue to uphold their strong tradition of solidarity and contribute more to the development of both Uzbekistan and the Vietnam–Uzbekistan relationship.
