Hungary only agrees to new Russia sanctions after deal with Trump

(VOVWORLD) - The Hungarian government will only agree to further European Union sanctions against Russia after reaching an understanding on the issue with US President Donald Trump, Hungarian Minister for EU Affairs János Bóka said on Sunday.

Bóka stated that without such an agreement, the Hungarian government sees no reason to approve further sanctions.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó had already hinted that any extension of sanctions would depend on a deal with the new US administration.
