IAEA, Iran resume nuclear talks

(VOVworld) - The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and Iran will resume talks about a long-stalled investigation into Tehran's alleged development of nuclear weapons. IAEA spokeswoman Gill Tudor said the meeting would take place in Vienna under an agreement they reached last November.

The IAEA has been seeking answers from Iran over what it calls "overall, credible" evidence in its 2011 report that possibly before 2003, Tehran had conducted research into the manufacturing of nuclear weapons.

The IAEA set the deadline for Thursday, when Iran will have to provide answers and then proceed with the last six steps of the 7 steps agreed with IAEA towards improving transparency in its nuclear program. The steps include allowing the IAEA to access the Saghand uranium mine and providing more information on the new nuclear reactor being built at Arak.
