Important national issues tabled at Party Central Committee’s meeting

(VOVWORLD) - Senior Party members began a meeting in Hanoi on Monday to look into major national issues including socio-economic development and the state budget this year and next year and directions for the national master plan until 2030 with a vision to 2045.

The 6th plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee will also discuss national industrialization and modernization toward 2030 with a vision to 2045, building a rule-of-law socialist state of Vietnam, and other important issues.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said that this is an important meeting leading to the implementation of major tasks from the 13th National Party Congress resolution.

He said that Vietnam is consistently and creatively applying Marxism and Leninism, and HCM’s Thought, and selectively absorbing universal values in building a law governed state led by the Party. 

“It’s crucial to adhere to the Party platform, the Constitution, and the 13th Party Congress resolution in building and fine-tuning the rule-of-law socialist state of Vietnam,' said Party leader Trong.

"Focus should be placed on completing the framework of the legal system, ensuring smooth operation of  state apparatus, keeping power in check, enhancing administrative reform, streamlining state employees, and effectively fighting corruption and negativity.”

The meeting will run until Sunday.
