The meeting, held in a hybrid format, connected 17 locations in communes and wards belonging to electoral unit No. 3.
After the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province introduced their brief biographies, the candidates presented their action programs to the voters. If elected, they pledge to continue to uphold the role and responsibilities of elected representatives, closely monitor the situation at the grassroots level and understand the legitimate aspirations of the people.
On behalf of the candidates, National Assembly Vice Chairman Chien answered questions and addressed suggestions from voters, saying that the overarching goal of the Party, State, and Government is to continuously improve the people's lives. He underscored the consistent view that economic development should not be pursued at all costs, and that each step of economic development should be linked to social progress and equity.
In this process, it is necessary to promote the strength of national unity, mobilize social resources to support vulnerable groups, invest in education and healthcare, especially in border communes, ensure harmonious development between regions, and focus on transportation, energy, and digital infrastructure, Mr. Chien added.
