Through performances of traditional dances and modern music, Ho Chi Minh City’s people had a better understanding about Indian customs and soul. Shri K.Chiranjeevi, Indian Tourism Minister, says ‘For the last 12 months, many events highlighting the friendship between India and ASEAN countries in general and India and Vietnam in particular have been held successfully. Our development goal ‘Look East Policy’, we are sparing no effort to add more content to our strategic partnership with Vietnam in the field of defense, economic, scientific and educational investment and cooperation. India’s investment in Vietnam exceeded 800 million USD. In tourism, the number of travelers between India and Vietnam has been over 40,000 visitors growing about 15 to 20% annually. I do hope that as the number increases, direct flights between India and Vietnam will become feasible and open soon.
